Doug Pohorski is a Bay Area bassist, recording engineer, producer, and composer. Doug has been performing on the upright and electric bass for over 35 years with a host of instrumentalists and vocalists. He has performed at several jazz festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival, the San Jose Jazz Festival, and the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Doug is a versatile artist whose background includes pop, funk, a variety of jazz styles, including bebop, Afro-Cuban, and Brazilian. He can be seen playing at many Bay Area festivals, jazz clubs, hotels, and restaurants. Doug has shared the stage with many talented musicians including; Bobby McFerrin, John Stowell, Bruce Forman, Mark Levine, Michele Hendricks, Gary Meek, Calvin Keys, and Denise Perrier.
Doug also owns and operates his own recording Studio: acousticsoundshop.com, where he records and produces a variety projects from rock to jazz.
