Bassist/violinist Paul Eastburn has been performing around the Bay Area since 1998. He teaches both the upright and electric bass (fretted and fretless), and performs primarily in the contexts of jazz, funk, R&B, Brazilian, music. Although he was trained as a classical violinist, Paul has been playing bass since 1986, and teaching bass since 1995. Mr. Eastburn is the Director of Bands for 5 public schools in Daly City, CA, teaching winds, brass, and percussion, and performs regularly in the Bay Area in a wide range of ensembles! Paul holds a BA in Music from UC Santa Barbara and currently lives is San Francisco.
